We reserve the right to make changes as necessary to keep trials moving efficiently. Please be patient and help out where needed if you are able. We are expecting some new exhibitors to stop in and see what Barn Hunt is all about; hopefully they will see all the fun we are having with our dogs and decide to try it through day of show entries.  Please take time to chat with newbies and help answer questions they may have.

Dogs will be run in height order (small to large); however, multiple dog conflicts, bitches in season, etc. will mean dogs will be shuffled around to keep things moving.

Move ups during the weekend trials will be accepted between trials and days. If your dog is eligible to move up, please stop by the secretary’s table near the wooden structure in the arena within 10 minutes of the last dog’s run of your class.  Forms will be available.  Please note that day-to-day move ups must be made within 15 minutes after last dog of the day runs.

Stay ‘n Play
$5 for 5 Minutes of ring time!
Saturday one half hour after both trials end

  • Blind schedules will be posted on the whiteboards outside the ring blinds. Please check in with the Blind Steward or Scribe for your ring.  If a conflict results because of ring schedules, we will make adjustments for you to run all of your dogs.  Please do not switch the running order yourself.
  • The trials will take place in the stables indoor arena north of the house and main gate.  The flooring is typical horse arena loose sand/clay with shredded matting mixed in.  The ring areas will be covered by tarps to maintain the straw bales.  If you need assistance – please let us know...we will be available to help.
  • There is plenty of room for crating dogs.  Whatever kind of crate you bring please be sure it is secure as there will be many dogs and they may be highly excited.  You may also want to consider covering the crates.  The arena is insulated and if it’s warm we will open the large overhead doors for additional circulation.   Weather permitting, you are also welcome to crate at your vehicle.  There is very limited shade/if any in the arena parking area, please plan accordingly.
  • To those of you that offered to volunteer – THANK YOU! If you haven’t yet - please let us know of your interest at the secretary’s table after when you check in.
  • Photos may be available for purchase after the trial.
  • There are a limited number of chairs available.  Please bring your own.
